DAY 1: Arrival to Istanbul & Transfer to Hotel

After your arrival to Istanbul (IST) or Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW), pick up at the exit of first gate by driver. Then you will be transferred to your Istanbul hotel. There is no schedule on your programme today. Get some rest – relaxing – refreshment to being your tours. Overnight in Istanbul.

DAY 2: Full day Istanbul Old City Tour (Breakfast and Lunch included)

* Visited Sights : Hagia Sophia – Blue Mosque – Topkapi Palace  – Hippodrome – German  Fountain of Wilhelm II – Column of Constantine – Obelisk of Theodosius – Serpentine Column and Grand Bazaar
Our first destination is Hagia Sophia, the world’s one of the greatest and unique religious structure used  as a mosque,a church and also as a museum. Hagia Sophia is housing two completely different cultures inside it, East and West.
When you take a step into the structure you can feel the dance of two opposite civilizations and come across the eye-popping blend of Islamic and Christian influences with extraordinary interior mosaics and an effective history.For more visual description you must witness it with your own eyes, surely you will admire it.

Blue Mosque

Then our duty is to reconnoitre the other masterpiece, Blue Mosque, built in early 1600s for Sultan Ahmet, and for this reason known as Sultanahmet Mosque in Turkey. Words are inadequate to explain its magnificence and beauty.
With its sequental domes and sin slender minarets, Blue Mosque dominates the skyline of Istanbul. The blue shade of the 27.000 pieces of Iznik quart tiles, giving the mosque its famous name, are very much worth to see.

Hippodrome & Monuments

We are going on exploring the ancient remains of Constantinople. Our next station is the Hippodrome with its 4 monuments – the German Fountain of Wilhelm II, the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column, and the Column of Constantine.
Because of Byzantine emperors’ passion for chariot races in thre afternoons, the Hippodrome was the changeless center of sportive and political activities in Constantinople for 1000 years.

Topkapi Palace

Are you ready to be astonished at Topkapi Palace (CLOSE ON TUESDAY), because it has many bewildering sides different from most of the world’s museums. Topkapı Palace was the administrative, educational  and art center of the Ottoman Empire for 400 years.
It is a great sample of oriental architecture and includes a variety of activities such as exhibitions of art, books, jewels, plates, costumes, the treasury, and the Holy Relics. More than just an Imperial Residence of the Ottoman Sultans, it was the seat of the Supreme Executive and Judiciary Council for almost 400 years.

Grand Bazaar

Our last station is the Grand Bazaar (CLOSE ON SUNDAY), Turkey’s the largest covered market at the heart of the Old City, offering excellent shopping.
At the end of this priceless day, you will be taken to the Istanbul Airport for your flight to Adana. When you land at  Adana airport, you will be welcomed by our representative at the first exit door. Then you will be transferred to your Adana hotel. Overnight in Adana.

DAY 3: Depart to Antakya & St. Pierre & Museum Tour (Breakfast and Lunch included)

With the first lights of the day, you will be picked from your hotel and depart to Antakya (Antioch). Here Jesus’ followers were first called Christians (Acts 11:26) Peter, Paul and also Barnabas preached here. Visit St. Peter’s Grotto and the exquisite Mosaic Museum
After this stunning and priceless experience, we will transfer to your Adana hotel. Overnight in Adana.

DAY 4: Depart to Tarsus & St Paul Well & Depart to Cappadocia & Underground Tour (Breakfast and Lunch included)

After having breakfast at the hotel, drive to Tarsus and visit the Apostle Paul’s well, the Gate of Cleopatra, and the latest excavations. Then we will travel to Cappadocia. Today our last destination will be one of the widest underground city of Cappadocia region; it was carved out underneath a rock hill.
The first three floors were probably carved out by Hittites about 2000 B.C. There were those underground cities where the first Christians hid excaping the persecution of the Roman authorities. In war time about 5000 people found refuge in. Overnight in a Cappadocia.

DAY 5: Full day Cappadocia Tour (Breakfast and Lunch included)

Cappadocia, with its centre in Caesarea (Kayseri), was once the heart of the Hittite Kingdom of the Old Testament. This vast area is one of the most photogenic landscapes in the world. Extraordinary rock formations have become symbolic of this region, where you will enjoy the Valley of the Fairy Chimneys and Goremes breathtaking Open Air Museum.
Watch the potters at their craft, in the famous pottery producing town of Avanos. Finally, savor the natural wonders of the Citadel of Uchisar Valley. Overnight in a Cappadocia.

DAY 6: Depart to Konya & Lystra & Mevlana Museum (Breakfast and Lunch included)

Early departure to Konya. Visit the Mevlana Museum and the 13th century Whirling Dervish Monastery. Continue on to Lystra, where a mob stoned Paul during his first journey (Acts 14:6-19), and where Timothy joined him during the second journey (Acts 16:1-3) and drive to your Konya Hotel. Overnight in Konya.

DAY 7: Psidian – Yalvac & Antalya Kaleici Tour (Breakfast and lunch included)

An early departure to Yalvac, ancient Antioch of Pisidia. Paul visited this town on his first missionary journey and it is here that he addressed the congregation in the synagogue on the Sabbath with his first recorded sermon. Immerse yourself in the excavations of ancient city here and also a visit the Yalvac Museum to see the artefacts unearthed from the very same city.
They frustrated the authorities there and were warned in time to escape from being attacked. Then we will depart to Antalya and visit the Old City (Kaleici). At the end of this priceless day, you will be taken to your Antalya hotel. Overnight in Antalya.

DAY 8: Aspendos – Side – Perge Tour (Breakfast and Lunch included)

Drive to Side Perge And Aspendos. At Perge on the main street we can see the columns adorned with the images of Artemis. The group can do their rituals and studies at the site. If the tour members can prepare a dance or a song that they would like to perform in Aspendos, we can have a little time for our individual performance.
We will be at the best preserved roman theater that we have in Turkey in Side which is a very terribly touristic town there is good swimming. We will try to avoid seeing the tourists but enjoy a good lunch and 1 hour of swimming For those who are not interested in swimming we have a great museum that they can go and a fabulous ancient site to visit. Overnight in Antalya.

DAY 9: Free day in Antalya or Optional Boat Trip (Breakfast included)

There is no schedule on your programme today. You will be free to discover the city on your own.

DAY 10: Pamukkale – Leodecia Tour (Breakfast and Lunch included)

Drive to Pamukkale, ancient Hierapolis – which name means sacred city, was believed by the ancients to have been founded by the god Apollo. It was famed for its sacred hot springs, whose vapors were associated with Pluto, god of the underworld.

Hierapolis’s Significance

The city also had a significant Jewish community. In the first century it was part of the tri-city area of Laodicea, Colossae, and Hierapolis.  This connection between the cities lies behind Paul’s reference to Hierapolis and Laodicea in his epistle to the Colossians (Col 4:13).  Before 70 A.D. Phillip (either the apostle or the evangelist) moved to Hierapolis, where he was believed to have been martyred.
Then continue to Laodicea, the smallest among all Seven Churches of Asia Minor.

Heading to Laodicea

Laodicea, modern Eskihisar (means “Old Castle) was on the crossroads between the important Ionian cities of that time. This helped the city to claim a big wealth due to the existing high volume commercial activity in the region.
There was a rich and influential Jewish community long before the Christian era. But, most of the locals were respecting Zeus more than any other god. Then we will drive to your Pamukkale hotel. Overnight in Pamukkale.

DAY 11: Alasehir (Philadelphia) – Sardes Tour (Breakfast and Lunch included)

Visit there one of the seven churches of the Apocalypse and the remains of the Cathedral. Continue to in Alasehir, the remains of a church. Visit , capital of the ancient Lydia with temple of the Cybele & Diana, which became later a church, see the royal road. Continue to Kusadasi. Overnight in Kusadasi.

DAY 12: Transfer to Kusadasi Port – Ferry to Patmos (Round Tickets) (Breakfast included)

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Kusadasi port and take a ferry to Patmos. We will buy your ferry tickets and when you arrive at Kusadasi Port from Patmos we will welcomed you and transfer you to your Kusadasi hotel. Overnight in Kusadasi.
Ps. There is no Patmos ferries during the winter season. If there is no Patmos ferry,  will be given a free day in Kusadasi instead of Patmos.

DAY 13: Ephesus Tour (Breakfast and Lunch included)

Drive to Ephesus where St. Paul stayed a while, visit the ancient city, House of the Virgin Mary, the Basilica of St. John, and continue to Miletos where St. Paul gave a speech to spread Christianity. Overnight in Izmir.

DAY 14: Smyrna – Pergamon – Thyatira Tour (Breakfast and Lunch included)

This morning take a beautiful Izmir (ancient Smyrna), After visiting the St. Policarp St. Paul Tour – Izmir Smyrna church in Izmir , continue to in Akhisar , ancient commercial place in connection with Troy & Sardes. Depart to Pergamum, visit to Asclepion, the ancient hospital, the Acropolis, the Church at the site of Serapium (7C) and the Red Court dedicated to St. John. Then visit Akhisar, the site of ancient Thyatira (7C). Overnight in Izmir.

DAY 15: Depart to Canakkale & Alexander Troas – Assos – Troy Tour (Breakfast and lunch included)

We leave our hotel and proceed to Troas and Assos. Troas was a busy port situated on the north-west coast of Asia Minor. Recent excavations revealed a dozen different cities covering 3000 years of human occupation. During his stay in Troas, St. Paul had a dream in which he saw a vision of a man asking him to “Come over to Macedonia and help us” after which he decided to go to Europe. All in all, he stopped and preached here 3 Footsteps of St Paul Tour – Troytimes.

Amazing View of Assos

Assos perched high on a cliff overlooking the Aegean and the Island of Lesbos is breathtaking. Its Acropolis carries the impressive Temple of Athena. Arriving at Assos on foot from Troas, St. Paul preached here and climbed down to the little port on the shore to board the boat on his return journey to Jerusalem.

Remains from Trojan War

Following a lunch break en-route, visit the archaeological site of this 5000 years old city, scene of the legendary Trojan War as described in Homer’s Iliad. See a reconstruction of the fabled Wooden Horse, the city ruins from a succession of 9 civilizations, the Roman Bouletarion, Theatre and onsite Museum. St. Paul travelled through the southern city of Troas nearby here several times. Overnight in Canakkale.

DAY 16: Depart to Iznik – Nicea (Bursa) Tour & Depart to Istanbul (Breakfast and Lunch included)

After the breakfast, we will drive to Bursa visit the Green Mosque and Green Tomb. The Ulu Mosque is completely Seljuk in style, a big rectangular building with immense portals and a forest of supporting columns inside. After a stop at the Ottoman House Museum, we leave Bursa behind us and drive to Nicea.

One of the Oldest Cities of Turkey

The city was founded around 1000 B.C. In 325, the First Ecumenical Council was held here for the purpose of condemning the heresy of Arianism. The Seventh Ecumenical Council was also held here in the St. Sophia Church, which we will visit first. The church was built in the 4th century and has a mosaic floor which dates to the 6th century.
All gates and walls date from the Byzantine times. We proceed to Istanbul and check into our hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.

DAY 17: Half Day Morning Regular Bosphorus Cruise Tour & Transfer to Airport (Breakfast included)

Lovely Sights of Istanbul

Our first destination is to the 17th century Spice Bazaar, an extraordinary, colorful and fantastic place to see where you can buy various gifts for your lovers. Next station is Golden Horn, we will make this journey with an unforgettable cruise along our marvellous bridge, Bosphorus which is known as a cradle linking Europe and Asia.
Views like wooded shores, rising mosques along these shores, a bridge that for a time was the world’s longest one, and Rumeli Hisari, a historical construction built by Mehmet the Conqueror in just three months as he prepared to conquer Istanbul, will accompany to you. As well, it is surely beyond doubt that, efficacious 19th century mansions of the Ottoman elites and Sultans’ georgous palaces and hunting lodges will fascinate you.
At the end of this perfect day we will transfer you to your hotel. Then you will be transferred to the airport 3 hours before your international flight time.  End of Services.

Travel Tips:

Since all daily tours involve some walking, we highly recommend that you wear comfortable clothing and sensible, rubber-soled walking shoes.
Sun glasses and sun screen are suggested. In the event of inclement weather, please bring a light waterproof jacket or an umbrella.
Cameras, video cameras and binoculars are recommended, though there will be parts inside of some museums, churches, mosques it is forbidden to use any of the ones mentioned.
