Tour Day 1 of Group Istanbul Cappadocia Tour: The Classics

We will have a very energetic start by picking you up from your hotel in the morning and taking to Istanbul Airport. Then, we’ll take a flight to Cappadocia Airports. After landing off, the journey will begin!

In the first day, we’ll visit:

• Devrent Valley

Also it is known as Imagination Valley thanks to its bizarre fairy chimneys. Actually, likening these chimneys to some animals or figures in the valley is quite popular. So, be creative!

• Pasabag – Monk’s Valley

Pasabag or Monk’s Valley is where believed to be once monks’ isolation spot. With its peaceful atmosphere and tweets of birds around, you will see how perfect choice monks had! Fairy chimneys looking like mushrooms will astonish you!

•  Avanos

Avanos Town is the center of the town and famous for pottery work. While we are exploring the streets and sceneries, you’ll have a chance to see amazing pottery examples , shop and observe the local life.

• Goreme  Open Air Museum

After having tiring but worthy times among gigantic fairy chimneys and more, we’ll go to our hotels and get energized for the following day.

Tour Day 2 of Group Istanbul Cappadocia Tour: Southern Cappadocia

After having breakfast at the hotel, our tour’s second part starts. This time, we’ll visit Southern Cappadocia’s best attractions!

The second day will start with a visit to Red and Rose Valley. This valley is where the color of rocks changing throughout the day in the lights of sunset or sunrise. Then we will hike along Gulludere Valley, adorned with many interesting rock formations.

Next, we’ll visit an ancient Greek village called Cavusin Village. By sheltering old houses and churches of the Christian clergymen such as Saint John the Baptist and Nicophoras Phocas, Cavusin is quite important, especially in terms of early Christianity. Of course, we’ll see their relics and learn their stories, too, thanks to our professional tour guides.

A Lecture on History in Cappadocia

Afterwards, we will visit Kaymakli (or Ozkonak) Underground City where the early Christians sought refuge, hid from warriors. Under the ground, we’ll see interesting carved city and its details such as rooms, schools, churches etc.

Then, our last destination will be a natural castle at Ortahisar called Uçhisar Castle. Used as castle due to its strategical location and height, it is actually the highest point of the Cappadocia. So, visiting and entering to it provides a great opportunity to get some great panorama shots of Cappadocia and the fairy chimneys.  You can also observe famous Pigeon Valley in which pigeons still live and fly around.

At the end of the journey, we’ll see Three Beauties, take some photos of it and go back to Istanbul!
