Black Sea Sile, Agva Day Trip From Istanbul
Sile is a district of Istanbul, and Agva is a town of Sile. Thus, it means that we will not completely leave Istanbul; yet, as spiritually, we will: We will meet the untouched nature, and the humble sites and lives of people there. Our first stop is the amazing Sile Zoo!
Sile Zoo was established in 1995 at the exit of Şile Ahmetli Village, with the aim of meeting the desires of animal lovers and instilling love for animals in children. The zoo is spread over 25 acres of land, formed as a result of veterinary research. Şile Zoo is home to a wide variety of animals, including parrots, maras, panda rabbits, peacocks, mandarin ducks, ornamental chickens, macaws, Shetland ponies, deer, swans, various types of pheasants, snakes, quails, canaries, parakeets, turtles, iguanas, fish, dogs, cats, and many more. It is a great destination for tourists who want to see and interact with a diverse range of animals in a natural setting.
Bosphorus Bridge
To start our Sile Agva tour, we will pick you up from the hotel you stay, and start driving. Because Sile locates at the Asian side of Istanbul, we will pass to Asian side of Istanbul through the Bosphorus Bridge. At that exact moment, you will be able to watch the amazing view of Bosphorus, the Marmara Sea and some of the significant places over the hills of Istanbul. You may even not want to reach where we go, because of the beauty of the view. Of course, you will change your mind later.
A Hidden Lake in Sile
We’ll first visit a natural and delightful beauty. Known as Hidden Lake, we’ll find it somehow and explore to get some relaxation and peace. This natural wonder will definitely has a good impact on your soul and mind due to its lovely image and atmosphere.
It perfectly mixes colors of green and blue and offers its visitors a delightful landscape. You will enjoy some free time in there.
Next, we’ll drive to a restaurant nearby Goksu River (in Agva district) for a delicious lunch.
The Steps along the Black Sea
When we arrive Agva, where the Marmara Region and the Black Sea meets, we will have a walk along the seaside of the Black Sea. During that, you will enjoy being at the transition place of many civilizations such as Hittites, Phrygians, Romans and Ottomans (Agva has a deep historical background); the fresh air you will breathe in; and of course, the peaceful environment. The salty smell of the sea, the surfs which look like cottons and striking talents of mother nature will please your soul.
Boat Trip on Yesilcay River
One of the most exciting points of our Sile Agva day trip is the boat trip on Yesilcay River, along the town. We will get on the boats, which are safe and comfortable, and start our journey.
On our way, we will enjoy both of the naturality of the place and people, who fish, drink a cup of tea or feed the ducks along the riverside. Also, we may meet cute visitors such as herons, cormorants and blackbirds. Because the river is full of various types of fishes, you may even witness to the exact moment of a successful fishing.
During our boat trip in Sile Agva tour for 25 minutes, you may want to take photographs as much as possible, since, the river and the whole landscape are definitely worth it. The combination of green, provided from the trees and the river itself, you will have amazing shots. Free Time in Agva Public Beach
After the boat trip, you’ll have some free time in Agva seaside. If it’s summer time, you can also enjoy swimming in there. Nice way to freshen up after exploring a beautiful place, right?
Sile Lighthouse
At the end of our journey, we’ll visit lovely and nostalgic place. It is known as Sile Lighthouse and offers a beautiful view of Blacksea. Its historical structure and lovely image will get you fascinated!
Then, we’ll go back to Istanbul approimately at 18.00.
