Kekova: Atlantis’s Twin

To start our program of Belek Kekova Sunken City Tour, on the appointed day in the morning, the driver will pick you up from your hotel in Belek and drive you through the beautiful, scenic countryside.

Upon arrival, we will get the car off and begin to explore the places we will visit in the tour day.

We will go to the port of Kekova and take a boat to begin our exploration of the underwater city.

You will enjoy this experience because you will be observing the ruins below the sea level from a boat.

It is supposed that the ancient Lycian city of Kekova was buried to the sea after a very strong earthquake.

Since then, water has kept buildings as they are and today, the place is inhabited only by fish.

Our boat will slowly float over the city. You will see ancient monuments and various buildings, including a Byzantine church.

Also, the church is a museum and people can enjoy the well-preserved frescoes on the walls and ceiling.

When we end the trip in Demre, we’ll visit a local restaurant next to the Church of St. Nicholas to have a delicious lunch.
