Eyup Sultan Mosque & Tomb

Mecca, is a city in Islam – the holiest – where Prophet Muhammad was born as well as where the faith itself was born and where the Sacred Mosque is.

Jerusalem, a middle-east city, also considered holy by the three major religions in the world. What makes it so sacred is that Eyüp El-Ensari, the man who beared the Prophet Muhammad’s flag, died during a military operation whereby the enemy forced the city to surrender under them on Constantinople during the 7th century as the mosque is outside the walls of the city walls.

Hence, the Eyüp Sultan Mosque & Tomb is regarded as the third of the most sacred locations it also has a colorful and mystical atmosphere to it created by the old trees around it, pigeons, praying believers as well as the crowds that like to visit the area.

The Mosque and Tomb carry a sharp harmony with a historical curiosity in its aura too, as it was know that Eyüp was Islamic.

Pierre Loti

From there, by Teleferique you’re taken to the Pierre Loti Coffee House, it is a coffee house on the hills with beautiful trees all round.

While you’re safely in the teleferique on your way up, you are granted the privilege of a breathtaking view, where you see the Golden Horn freshwater estuary at 1 800 feet above ground (550 meters).

While you’re in the area you can enjoy a cup of coffee and take a moment with the magnificent view surrounded by greens on the hill.

MiniaTurk

Miniaturk, “a story land”, is a park that has exhibitions of miniature scaled models of popular and well known masterpieces, creating also a fairytale environment in the park, based on the Anatolian, the Ottoman’s former territories, and in Istanbul as a whole. Including the reflection of the Turkish history in revival, as well as their culture.

Human model figures are included doing normal day-to-day things like a Muslim who’s in the mosque, Jews praying at a synagogue, and anything that is able to illustrate and represent daily lifestyle in Turkey’s society throughout it’s ages.

There’s also a colorful shopping center you can head to during a stop. There you’ll be able to find great Istanbul souvenirs. They will remind you of the magnificence, culture and history rich places like the Mosque.

Thereafter, if you’re in surrounding hotels, you may be dropped off to rest and enjoy the rest of your day in the beautiful city Istanbul.
