Eyup Sultan Mosque & Tomb
Mecca, is a city in Islam – the holiest – where Prophet Muhammad was born as well as where the faith itself was born and where the Sacred Mosque is.
Jerusalem, a middle-east city, also considered holy by the three major religions in the world. What makes it so sacred is that Eyüp El-Ensari, the man who beared the Prophet Muhammad’s flag, died during a military operation whereby the enemy forced the city to surrender under them on Constantinople during the 7th century as the mosque is outside the walls of the city walls.
Hence, the Eyüp Sultan Mosque & Tomb is regarded as the third of the most sacred locations it also has a colorful and mystical atmosphere to it created by the old trees around it, pigeons, praying believers as well as the crowds that like to visit the area.
The Mosque and Tomb carry a sharp harmony with a historical curiosity in its aura too, as it was know that Eyüp was Islamic.
