A Scenic Journey from Salda Lake to Pamukkale

One of the most popular tours from Antalya is the Salda and Pamukkale tour, which takes visitors to two of Turkey’s most stunning destinations.

The first stop on this tour is Salda Lake, which is known for its crystal-clear blue waters and white sandy beaches. Salda Lake is often compared to the famous Maldives because of its clear waters and white sands. It’s a great place to relax, swim, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. During your 1.5-hour stop at Salda Lake, you can swim, sunbathe, or take a walk around the lake.

After leaving Salda Lake, the tour continues to Pamukkale, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Turkey. Pamukkale is known for its natural hot springs, travertine terraces, and ancient ruins. The travertine terraces at Pamukkale are made of white calcite and have been formed over thousands of years by the accumulation of mineral-rich water flowing from the hot springs.

During your 3-3.5 hour stop in Pamukkale, you’ll have plenty of time to explore the area and take in the stunning scenery. One of the highlights of the tour is a visit to the ancient city of Hierapolis, which was founded in the 2nd century BC. The city was an important center of commerce and culture during the Roman and Byzantine periods, and many of its ruins are still visible today.

Pamukkale is a must-see destination for anyone visiting Turkey

Pamukkale is a natural wonder located in western Turkey, famous for its stunning white terraces of travertine. These terraces are formed by the hot springs that flow down the hillside, depositing calcium carbonate and creating a unique and beautiful landscape. The water in the hot springs is said to have healing properties, and the area has been a popular spa destination since ancient times.

Pamukkale is also home to the ancient city of Hierapolis, which was founded in the 2nd century BC. The city was an important center of commerce and culture during the Roman and Byzantine periods, and many of its ruins are still visible today. Visitors to Pamukkale can explore the ruins of Hierapolis, including the ancient theater, the Temple of Apollo, and the Nymphaeum.

In addition to the terraces and the ruins, Pamukkale is also home to several hot springs and thermal pools, where visitors can relax and enjoy the healing properties of the mineral-rich waters. One of the most popular thermal pools is the Cleopatra Pool, which is said to have been used by the queen herself.

Exploring Hierapolis: An Ancient City Built on a Natural Hot Spring

Hierapolis, located in southwestern Turkey near the city of Denizli, was an ancient city built on a natural hot spring. The city was founded in the 2nd century BC by the king of Pergamon, and it quickly became an important center of commerce and culture.

One of the most impressive sites in Hierapolis is the ancient theater, which dates back to the 2nd century BC. The theater could seat up to 12,000 people and was used for plays, concerts, and other cultural events. Today, visitors can still see the impressive seating area and stage, as well as the surrounding ruins.

Another important site in Hierapolis is the Temple of Apollo, which was built in the 2nd century AD. The temple was dedicated to the Greek god Apollo and was an important center of worship in ancient times. Visitors can still see the impressive columns and ruins of the temple, which give a glimpse into the city’s past.

Relax and Unwind in the Mineral-Rich Waters of the Cleopatra Pool

The Cleopatra Pool is a natural hot spring located in Pamukkale, Turkey. According to legend, the pool was a gift from Mark Antony to Cleopatra, who traveled to the area to bathe in the mineral-rich waters.

Today, visitors to Pamukkale can experience the healing properties of the Cleopatra Pool for themselves. The water in the pool is believed to have therapeutic properties and is rich in minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and sulfur. The water is kept at a comfortable temperature of around 36-38 degrees Celsius, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.

The pool is surrounded by beautiful scenery, including the white travertine terraces of Pamukkale and the lush greenery of the surrounding hills. Visitors can enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and soak in the mineral-rich waters, which are said to help alleviate a variety of ailments, including arthritis, respiratory problems, and skin conditions.

Experience the Natural Beauty and Unique Geology of Salda Lake

Salda Lake is a stunning natural wonder located in southwestern Turkey, near the city of Burdur. The lake is known for its crystal-clear, turquoise waters, which are often compared to the famous Maldives beaches. The surrounding landscape is also incredibly beautiful, with rocky cliffs and lush green forests.

One of the most unique features of Salda Lake is its white sandy beach, which is made up of a mineral called magnesium. This gives the beach a brilliant white color that contrasts beautifully with the deep blue of the lake. The beach is a popular destination for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxing, and there are several cafes and restaurants nearby where visitors can enjoy a meal or a drink.

In addition to its beauty, Salda Lake is also known for its geological significance. The lake is located in a volcanic region, and its waters are rich in minerals and nutrients. This has led to the formation of unique mineral deposits, including a type of rock called travertine, which is similar to the rock formations at Pamukkale.

Overall, Salda Lake is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Turkey. Its stunning beauty, unique geological features, and crystal-clear waters make it a truly unforgettable experience.

Everything is great!!!
The trip is amazing, I recommend it to all tourists. I liked everything from start to finish, from the moment of booking the tour to the final point of our trip. Everything is clear, understandable, thoughtful, interesting.
The place itself is striking in the beauty of nature, in Pamukkale I especially liked the amphitheater and so the thermal springs.
Salda Lake
Thanks to our guides, we had as many as 3 people!!! Special thanks to Nelly, she told interesting, fascinating, paid attention to everyone, and our group was international), but she told everyone in her native language, explained … sometimes reassured)
Definitely recommend excursionmarket for excursions in Turkey.

I take small pictures of nature. I’m not a professional photographer but still, the sights to see were just nothing less than breathtaking. I can understand why people kept talking more about Pamukkale and travertines, but Salda Lake has a lot of cool stuff to offer as well, such as amazing photos, a super natural look, and it even clears out your mind a bit. I guess the last one is just because I love lakes, but overall, I’d suggest everyone to go and take some pictures. If not for showing friends, then you can still make it into a big painting and say “Im there.”

I have never been on a tour before. This was my first tour, and I loved it. The places, the team that was helping us, and the guide were amazing. I felt super tired, and most likely I won’t go out or around a lot, but this tour was just great. I have been missing this my whole life. I never knew tours could be this fun and exciting. I may be saying these things because this was my first tour, but still I loved it. Every second and every sweat drop was worth it. Thank you all for helping me. I will be coming back for sure!

I and my family loved this tour. I went there with my two daughters, wife, and mother. My mother always watches shows about nature and she also loves lakes, so I take her to the nearby lake we have. So I decided that this tour would be great for all of us, at least for a change. My daughters went crazy on the tour; they kept saying everything was so cool and amazing while my wife just took countless pictures of us. I couldn’t be happier on this tour because once we got to Salda Lake, my mother kept saying “let’s come here more often.” She normally doesn’t like big lakes, but this time it seems like even my mother was enjoying the tour.

The tour was good. I like going around and looking for new and exciting stuff. I mostly look for fun and hard stuff, but I wanted to have a nice and relaxing break from all the mountain climbing and such. Even though this tour kind of got me tired, I still felt like a new man. the next day I woke up plus I never knew Salada Lake was this cool before the guide kept telling us the amazing story of Pamukkale and the travertines of it. This is not all of the tour but I don’t wanna spoil the tour for others. All I can say is that this tour was just what I needed. Im thanking all the team members out there that made my day a lot better.

I have been to a lot of countries, especially after COVID 19, to see what are the other beauties of the world because my home and the same streets felt boring. I have been to a lot of amazing places and lakes, but Salda Lake was just one of those lakes that made me stop and say, “Wow I would love to build a wooden house and live here.” It felt just so amazing that this lake was almost magical to me. There also was Pamukkale travertines that made me feel like I was not just on earth. The place was just feeling so amazing that I couldn’t stop taking pictures. I felt like I was just walking and being guided on one of the most beautiful parts of the world.

I been to Pamukkale a lot and I been to Salada Lake as well. It was very fun, but this time it was different. This site just booked me into the best Pamukkale and Salada Lake tour of my life, and I need to say the team was amazing. They knew how to handle crying kids, talk nicely to the ones who do not listen, and the guide was so good at English I thought he was from the UK. Overall, it was kind of tiring for me, yet still I loved it. I recommend everyone to try this tour once.

I came to Turkey to see some of its beauty, and this was one of the best if not the best thing I have ever seen. I have never seen such a thing as Pamukkale travertines; they were just so cool; it was as if nature was making its own art truly remarkable; then, of course, there is Salda Lake; that lake was big; I just enjoyed even watching it. The guide was so good at English that I almost forgot that we were in Turkey. I suggest everyone to go and try this tour. I suggest everyone to go and try this tour. I suggest everyone to go and try this tour.

This tour was amazing. honestly, the only thing it was missing was shopping for me, but still, I love it. Pamukkale has a very rich natural structure. I couldn’t get my eyes off of anything. I just had so much fun on the trip that I forgot that it was going to end. Still, I had a lot of fun, and I want you all to have fun too, so I suggest you all go and try one or two of the tours that excursionmarket has to offer!

I loved the salt lake. I personally am a Pamukkale fan. Pamukkale has one of the most amazing natural landscapes I have ever seen, so when I found out there was a Pamukkale tour also combined with a Salda Lake tour, I thought it wasn’t going to be cheap. But for its price, the tour was amazing. Im sure I do not need to tell how amazing Pamukkale was, but Salda Lake is something else. Im planning to get booked for another tour soon enough!
